About the Albert Park MS Walk and Fun Run

In winter it is sometimes too easy to stop exercising and stay in your warm bed. Taking part in the 2011 MS Walk and Fun Run will not only get the blood pumping and improve your overall health and fitness, it will also make you feel warm inside for contributing to such a great cause.

Walking Event Details

The event will start and finish from Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake and will follow a scenic track around the lake with some fantastic views of Melbourne.

Start Time: 10.30am
Distance 1: 5km
Distance 2: 10km

Join 5000 others for the warm-up exercises and celebrations before making your way around the beautiful Albert Park Lake. Stroll or power-walk, travel by wheelchair, pram or stroller, wear serious sports gear or wacky team costumes. Whatever you choose, you will be helping thousands of Australians who are living with multiple sclerosis.

Running Event Details

The fun run event will start and finish in the same location as the walkers event at Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake and will follow a scenic track around the lake with some fantastic views of Melbourne.

Distance 2: 10km

**All participants receive an electronic timing chip

Make a statement and wear RED at the 2011 MS Walk and Fun Run. Lead the way by wearing your red hats, red scarves, red gloves, red jackets, red pants, red shoes or even painting your faces red or spraying your hair red!

Imagine a flowing SEA OF RED around Albert Park Lake displaying a visual support for people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Don’t own anything red? On the day you can purchase a warm red beanies or red scarves.
